Afghan embassy personnel summoned at GHQ, Rawalpindi


Rawalpindi: Pakistan Army General Headquarters (GHQ) on Friday summoned Afghan embassy officials and handed them list of seventy six terrorists residing in Afghanistan, says Inter Service Public Relations.

GHQ asked to take action against terrorists hiding in Afghanistan. Pakistan also asked Afghanis to handover these terrorists to Pakistan if Afghan authorities can not take action against them.

The list includes names of Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan’s leader Mullah Fazlullah and Umer Khasani; Most of the terrorists activities taking place in Pakistan were planned in neigbour country Afghanistan.

Two days earlier, foreign office also summoned Afghan Deputy Head of Mission Syed Abdul Nasir Yousafi and raised issue of terrorism carried in Pakistan by elements present in Afghanistan.

The action taken by Pakistani authorities after terrifying incident of suicide blast at Lal Shahbaz Qalandar shrine in which eighty people were killed and more than three hundred injured. The attack was followed by Lahore attack, Peshawar attack, two attacks in Quetta and FATA.

Pakistan had also sealed its borders with Afghanistan due to security concerns.
